I agree that we need to show a united front in order to win back the seats that we have lost. It is becomes more difficult when you have a local Mayor ( a Republican) that votes for big business instead of for the residents of his Village. We need to educate people at the grass roots level, and elected people like this person make the job very difficult.

What's not to love? Just teasing. I happened to be at a community function a little over a year ago which Governor Blagojevich attended (although he arrived 15-20 minutes late as usual). As my luck would have it, he saw me standing there and came over to shake my hand and thank me for being there. It got worse. A news reporter and his camera captured the moment on camera and decided it was a "Kodak Moment" for him and his newspaper. The next morning my and the Gov's photo shaking hands was in several newspapers.
After being teased about this by my Democrat friends, I mailed them a copy of the photo with the caption written below it, "Illinois taxpayer counts the number of fingers left on his hand and checks the amount of money left in his wallet moments after shaking hands with Governor Blagojevich." That summed up my feelings about Governor Blagojevich and what he has done to our state of Illinois. He is "The Poster Boy" for why every vote counts on election day.
Incidentally, congratulations to the Wheatland Township Republican Organization for showing what energetic and good people can do when it comes to influencing politics in a positive way in their community. I have always been impressed with the members of their group.

Sun Times Friday, Nov. 16, 2007- "Mexico denies driver's licenses to illegal immigrants". Rod the robber has a LONG history of voting in favor of allowing ILLEGAL immigrants in Illinois to get a valid state issued driver's license! What is he thinking? I would love to see underneath his rugs!

The Illinois Republicans have been given a gift. We can use Blago's disorganized, corrupt administration; and Madigan and Jones inability get along with each other or the Governor to show much change is needed. The key is for us to work together showing unity. Without statewide, countywide, and townshipwide unity, we will look every much like the circus we are hoping to replace Together, we can do it.! Let's wrap Blago up and send him on his way!! Keep any negative articles written by reputable journalist about Blago's circus and let's share them to distribute to our precincts.

I heard a clip from the Chicago City Council yesterday. Dick Mell, Blago's father in-law, said that the State had failed Chicago. I would love to be around for the annual Thanksgiving dinner this year.

This governor can not be re-elected or this may be the end of this State. I support a recall movement to get him out of office sooner than later.

Where did Blago get the $27 million dollar "gift" he just gave the CTA? He just keeps spending and spending. I think it's time for a recall effort.Biggrin

Without out a doubt the worst Governor in my lifetime. He is so out of touch with everyone, even his own party members. Is there a way to recall a Governor? We can't take 2 more years of him
